So, everyone in HR knows that I'm moving as of about 8:30AM this morning. The HR Manager announced it to the department in our weekly staff meeting. Everyone was shocked, as I expected. Our receptionist teared up (but she tears up at everything...Matthew thinks I'm bad...). I'm glad that bit is over. One less worry goes away.
Our recruiter is worried about writing my job description. I do a lot of odd tasks and it takes a couple of days just to remember all the bits and pieces of my job. I don't envy him that task, either, but I did, at my boss' request, write down everything I could think of. So, that should make it easier.
Our payroll lady is worried about me leaving because I help her a lot on the computer. I assured her that I'd be leaving contact information so that I could still help even though I was far away. She was telling me that her in-laws own some land on the White Oak River in Swansboro. So, I'll probably be seeing her in the future ;)
Still haven't heard much on the job front. I've gotten a couple of rejection letters and have applied for a few more. I think my Clayton address is hurting me but I don't want to use my grandmother's because she'll be getting all the letters. I think once the house opens up in April, I'll start using that address if I haven't found anything by then.
