About a week ago, I was Googling people's names that I knew from High School. I thought, as I was searching, about a girl I was friends with in the High School chorus my sophomore and junior years of High School who I had heard nothing from since the summer after I graduated.
So, I put her name into Google.
And, I found out she died in 2001.
I haven't been able to find out what happened yet but I really do wonder.
How sad it is that we have all drifted apart so much that we don't even find out a classmate has died until years after the fact.

Happy New Year!
2008 is officially over and it was a crazy year. Gas prices were up. The economy was going down. I started this blog. Two of our dogs passed away. Matthew and I both left our employment at the beginning of the summer and then we moved back to my childhood home in August. We are really enjoying our new city and I've been enjoying my new job. It's much more laid back here than the big city of Raleigh.
Hopefully, 2009 will see some positive changes and events.
Happy New Year, everyone!
