Riso's Italian Restaurant

We tried Riso's Italian Restaurant in Swansboro (really closer to Peletier and Cape Carteret) tonight. The restaurant is very cozy and homey inside and was very nice but also casual.

We started with Caesar salads which were served with a very rich dressing that I figured was made on-site. We also had a baguette served with olive oil dipping sauce. Matthew had the chicken parmigian and I had linguine with clam sauce. I can't speak for his dish, which he said was good, but the sauce on my linguine was very herby and full of garlic with a subtle heat to it. In a way the herbs overpowered the clams but it was still quite good.

We wanted to finish the meal with tiramisu but, unfortunately, they had run out. Our waitress said it was very popular. So, went for brownie a la mode, instead. The brownie was rich and warm with a surprisingly light texture.

All in all, it was a great experience and I'm sorry we haven't tried them sooner. We will definitely be back to try the tiramisu!
