Friday night, I was super run down from this diet that I'm trying to do with a co-worker. I've lost 9 pounds but have no energy to do anything because the diet is very restrictive and very low calorie. I fell off the wagon hardcore on Friday night and never really got back on all weekend. I'm going to try it for a couple more days and if I don't have the energy to do the projects I've set for myself this week, I'm going to move on to something else.
Saturday, Murphy went back to the vet to get his stitches checked (he was neutered two weeks ago) and to get his last vaccination. He was quite happy to get his E-Collar off (see pictures of him in his E-Collar). In the evening, we went to my uncle's birthday dinner at my grandmother's house.
Sunday, as I was getting ready to get out of bed and start some house cleaning, my other grandmother called to say that our yard was full of water and hers wasn't so she really didn't think it was rain and, rather, we had a leak somewhere. Matthew and I (and mostly Matthew doing the dirty work) spent almost all day trying to locate the leak and fixing it. So, I didn't get any of the cleaning or cooking done that I needed to get done and I didn't get to work on my gardening projects. I was planning to work on the bed I'm going to plant strawberries in but it was part of the yard that was very flooded. We did get the garden mapped out and we have most of what we need to fence the area in.
Last week, I did exercise 6 out of 7 days. I just missed exercising Sunday because of all that was going on but I really think walking back and forth across the front yard to turn the water off and on for Matthew to test the pipes counted.
This week, I plan to come home and work on my strawberry bed so that I can hopefully plant this weekend. Then I can move to the area where I want to plant blueberries. We are also hoping to get the garden area fenced in and maybe get seeds started for summer crops. Hopefully, we can rent a tiller next weekend and get started planting.
